The nice educational path leaves from the cable-car station in Le Cune, a wonderful panoramic point located at 2.200 meters high in the Dolomites. It is suitable for children and goes down through wood and pastures up to Valbona Chalet (1750m). The path develops in a mild slopefor 3 km, first along a forestry route, then on a gravel path, accesible with trekking pushchairs with brake.
While exploring animal refuges, you can learn their lifestyle and theim main features through nice educational panels, games and riddlecomes. All thanks to the new signs and riddles created by Ludosofici with scientific advice of MUSE- Museo delle Scienze, with the illustration by Alice Beniero and the new section dedicated to insect with the sculptures by Lara Steffe and Klaus F. Hunsicker in larch wood, metal and Dolomite stone.
The theme, in a naturalistic path, telling about animals’ stories and curiosities living in Trentino woods, revealing bears’, marmots’ and roe deer’s secrets.
During your slope, you can find various equipped station for a nice picnic and if you wish to have a good lunch in the chalet, we advise to take a break in Malga Pozza (advised deviation for pushchairs) or get to Valbona Chalet, where a wonderful playground is waiting for you. To reach the starting point of the Animals’ Path, you can take the cableway from Ronchi, 3 km from the centre of Moena.
